We offer the keys to freedom, in other words outdoor mobility, to those who have either lost the skill to drive or who have never learned. We help experienced drivers who have had a stroke, a heart attack, head injuries or who have similar disabilities. Others, with disabilities such as cerebral palsy or spina bifida, which have been with them since birth or childhood, have never driven. The restoration or attainment of mobility opens the door to higher education, employment and perhaps most important of all, a fuller life. Cornwall Friends Mobility Centre, the first in Europe to be purpose-built, provides a service to disabled people unique in the West of England. |
