The first assessment is carried out on a static rig at the centre. This measures reaction times, the strength and range of limbs and checks important aspects of vision. The assessment, which is taken by an approved driving instructor, lasts about two hours. A short drive may follow in one of our adapted cars. In some instances an occupational therapist will carry out an awareness test. Finally, a written report is provided.
